DIRECTORS

The Directors are Siri and Reese, the two primary overseers and playwrights of Project Eidolon.

DIRECTORS

The Directors are Siri and Reese, the two primary overseers and playwrights of Project Eidolon.

They are responsible for managing the actors; ensuring rehearsals are held, scripts are known, and roles are properly understood.

They make the major narrative decisions that shape an actor’s life: turning points, key events, and outcomes.

In practice, the Directors rarely interfere directly.

Within Base World, most management is delegated to Amatus and Veritas, who handle day-to-day operations and story maintenance on their behalf.

The faces of the games

The primary points of interaction

The vessels most often used by Guests.

Actors perform across alternate universes (AUs), bringing scripts to life through action and emotion.

Functionally, they are comparable to enzymes as they accelerate creation. Worlds that might take ages to solidify into full alternate universes become real much faster when actors take the stage.

CASTING OF AN ACTOR

Actors often begin as Extras or Understudies; unnamed, background, or conceptual figures who slowly develop into full identities.

Through exposure to story, attention, and interaction, they evolve beyond their written forms.

The current main cast (Arcturus, Azimuth, Corvo, Carina, and Carlos) are an example of fully realised actors.

Most were born in alternate universes, originally existing only as names or characters in a script. Over time, as their worlds grew and deepened, they became self-aware and crossed into full actorhood.

In simpler terms, they were formed through the world’s development; shaped and awakened as their stories matured.

SCRIPTS

CONCEPT

A Script is a written work by the Playwrights; the Directors themselves.

SCRIPTS

CONCEPT

A Script is a written work by the Playwrights; the Directors themselves.

Scripts begin as stories, often alive in concept long before they solidify into full worlds.

Over time, these narratives mature into living universes or Alternate Universes (AUs).

The process can be accelerated by actors, whose performances breathe life into the text and bring the Script closer to reality.

HOW A SCRIPT IS MADE

A Script begins as a thought or concept from one of the Directors.

Once written down and shared through:

Games

Lore posts

Wiki entries

Or other tangible media

It becomes a Formed Script: a solid, existing world capable of sustaining life and continuity.

In contrast, Scripts that remain unwritten or half-formed (such as daydreams, ideas, or private concepts) are known as Unbound Scripts.

Formed Scripts are stable and inhabitable; Unbound Scripts are fragile, flickering between existence and imagination until given structure.

HOW ACTORS USE THE SCRIPT

Actors are aware of a Script’s concept and basic framework, but are rarely bound by detailed instruction.

GUEST

Someone who will not threaten the actors while using them as a vessel.

Guests are either individuals invited by the Directors, or those holding a standing open invitation to interact.

GUEST

Someone who will not threaten the actors while using them as a vessel.

Guests are either individuals invited by the Directors, or those holding a standing open invitation to interact.

They are not inherently dangerous, and any harm they bring is only what the Directors permit.

Guests are to be treated with respect and regarded as safe visitors within the bounds of Project Eidolon.

[Unknown] are not guests. If you find one, take action immediately and alert [Censored] to banish [Unknown] from the actor.

You are...well, you. :^)
