🚨 25 AUGUST- UPDATE: THE COURT HAS DECIDED TO LET US STAY UNTIL THE END OF THE SCHOOL HOLIDAY!

We welcome the decision by the Court to deny Haringey Council’s attempt to evict us from our community space in Down Lane Park before the end of the summer holidays.

This means that we can continue to provide a full programme of children’s activities right up to the start of the new school year.

For the past 2 weeks, local families have run free meals, classes, sports, advice, and more at the community centre.

Mothers, carers and parents are already up against the wall with austerity, the cost of living crisis and rising childcare costs. This centre has become an essential, life-giving service for some of the most vulnerable communities in Tottenham.

We look forward to handing the centre over to the community over the coming weeks to allow them to continue providing vital resources to Tottenham families.

Moving forward, we will continue to strongly oppose Haringey Council’s plans to demolish our community centre, which would reduce the space to a much smaller facility that cannot meet the needs of Tottenham residents.

To support our campaign, please donate generously to our FUNDER:

Tottenham Families Fight Back
We are Tottenham Families Fightback. We are local parents, grandparents, carers, play workers, youth workers and kids. We came together to reclaim the Living Under One Sun community centre that Haringey Council allowed to fall vacant during the summer holidays.
