Zeu @zeu.dev is a returning speaker from last year, and Matias @patak.cat is joining us for the first time.

They are representing the npmx.dev @npmx.dev community, who are just launching their new website, with social features powered by atproto.

Their presentation will cover how they are growing their community, and some of their plans with atproto:

Adding social features to community websites

npmx is a fast, modern browser for the npm registry, and the developer community in building it as an open source project has grown to 140 members and over 800 commits in only two weeks. This talk will expand upon how to grow a developer focused community, not only in open source, but also as a gateway to AT Protocol through its social features and the atproto tools in its codebase.

Many other atproto community members have gotten involved in working on the npmx site. It is an open source community after all, and all are welcome! A special nod to the prolific @baileytownsend.dev, who has been diving right in with his atproto expertise.

We're glad to be able to extend travel support to Zeu & Matias, and help as conference organizers and as the AT Community Fund to help this great open social developer community grow.

Congrats to the npmx community on launch day! You can dive into the code at repo.npmx.dev, and join the chat chat.npmx.dev. Support them financially through opencollective.

AtmosphereConf is the global community conference for atproto. It takes place March 26th - 29th in Vancouver, Canada. Find out more and buy your tickets to join us at https://atmosphereconf.org
