I'm honestly devastated, mainly because of the IRL-related communities & contacts that'll be lost and the continued destruction of online privacy (Adults like me shouldn't have to compromise our privacy because fascists want to siphon more data from us can't be assed to watch their kids)
Discord is a massive target for data breaches and scams. If I gave my ID to them to stay in contact with some of my friends, then that means in the inevitable data breach I could not just get doxxed, but have IRL spaces I'm a part of exposed too. In an age where people don't respect creators boundaries & anti-queer, racist, or otherwise bigoted sentiment is on the rise this is not a risk I want to take.
Ultimately migrating won't be as effective as stopping/repealing the bills that's causing changes like this in the first place, but I'd rather scatter and see who will have a backbone in this current political climate.
