A new interface and a much bigger set of layers. The map is the page; everything you operate sits on one console along the bottom.

Added

  • 31 more HARMONIE layers, so 47 in all.

  • Multi-maps: split the map into up to a 3 × 3 grid, each map with its own layer, all panning and zooming together.

  • Pin layers: pin any layer and it appears at the top of the layer shelf.

  • Dark mode, with an Auto / Light / Dark setting that follows the device by default.

  • Accumulated rain is a window on the timeline: drag either edge, or pick 3, 6, 12 or 24 hours.

  • A settings dialog (gear, top right) for theme, Multikort, hiding the interface, resetting to one map and installing the app.

  • The info dialog shows the version, a link to this changelog, and when the next model run is due and expected to be ready.

Changed

  • New interface. The console along the bottom holds the hour in big numerals, the timeline, the colour scale and the current layer; pressing the layer raises a shelf of map tiles grouped by theme, replacing the side list. Search sits top left, download and settings top right.

  • Phone: the timeline is a strip you drag under a fixed marker, with a tighter bottom bar and meteogram.

  • The meteogram's rain row showed precipitation accumulated since the start of the model run rather than the rain during each hour, because each row's total was discarded before the next row could subtract it. The row now shows hourly rain, with the running total beside it as Regn akk. mm. The hourly figure also drives the meteogram's shower icons, so drizzle no longer sticks to every remaining hour once it has rained.

Fixed

  • On the light theme the meteogram's wind and wave cells kept dark text on dark colours; the text stays white.

First public release — an interactive weather map for Denmark built only on official DMI forecasts, at 2 km detail, updated every three hours and reaching 60 hours ahead.

Added

  • Forecast layers: wind, gusts, rain, accumulated rain, temperature, dew point, cloud cover, low clouds, pressure, humidity, visibility, thunderstorms (CAPE) and waves, from DMI's HARMONIE DINI model and the WAM wave model.

  • Oversigt: temperature with radar on top, continuing into the rain forecast for the hours radar cannot reach, with the timeline starting where the radar history begins.

  • Observations: the EUMETNET OPERA radar composite and EUMETSAT satellite imagery for the last three hours, plus live measurements from DMI's stations.

  • Overlays: animated wind and wave particles, isobars with highs and lows, weather fronts derived automatically from θw and 850 hPa wind, forecast values at towns, and a value grid.

  • Point forecast: click anywhere for an hour-by-hour meteogram, including waves at sea.

  • Export: save the map as a PNG, or as an MP4 or GIF animation over a chosen period, with a choice of logo, timestamp and metadata, and sources always included.

  • Progressive Web App: installable, with the interface working offline and shortcuts to radar, wind and rain.

  • Search for Danish places and addresses, with shareable links like /wind/55.68,12.57,9.

  • Danish interface, dark basemap with coastlines and municipality and region borders, no accounts, no ads and no cookies.

Infrastructure

  • Model runs are prepared in the background and swapped in only once complete, so visitors keep the previous run while the new one is built and never trigger the work themselves.

  • Per-run disk cache with byte-level reads of prepared fields, which keeps point forecasts at roughly half a second.
