    READING THE ASYMMETRIES

◇ The two empty cells are the chart's prediction: a PUBLIC, CANONICAL
microblog — posts written short but meant to be cited for years,
permalink-first, reference-grade. Digital gardens gesture at it; nobody
has made it social. Its semi-visible twin (a circle's shared
      Zettelkasten) is equally unbuilt.

░ EPHEMERAL × PUBLIC is a graveyard cell (Fleets died). Ephemerality
apparently only works where visibility is scoped — vanishing content
for strangers has no audience-reason to exist.

    ● The canonical cell (feed-life × public) is where "microblogging" lives.
The chart shows it's ONE cell of twelve, not the category itself.

    The lifted shape recurs everywhere:

ant colonies pheromone trails — deposits decay unless re-walked
graffiti walls tags persist until painted over; density marks turf
trading pits open-outcry chatter — pure feed-life, zero archive
prayer walls small public deposits, semi-permanent, additive

LIFT ONE MOVE BACK DOWN: ants solved the longevity-split (★ pivot dim)
that microblogging never did. A pheromone trail's longevity is EARNED —
it persists exactly as long as it keeps being reinforced, then vanishes.

« a microblog where posts decay by default and every »
« repost extends their life — longevity as a function of »
« reinforcement, not an archive default »

That single move fills the chart's row axis dynamically: one post can
travel from EPHEMERAL to CANONICAL by being re-walked, instead of every
post being frozen at feed-life forever.

(public/semi-visible CANONICAL microblog = typed prediction)

    ◆ lift-back-down:   ant pheromone reinforcement → "posts decay unless re-upped;
                        longevity is earned, not defaulted"
    organon: chart — 12 cells, 10 filled, 1 graveyard (Fleets), 2 empty
not surfaced: authorship (human vs bot posting), economics (pay-to-post,
post-as-asset), audience scale, synchronicity (live vs async),
                        and all NEGATIONS — "anti-microblogging" (one-post-per-day
apps, macroblogging) never got a pass since negation wasn't
in the tuple. worth a follow-up draw.

The pivot finding: microblogging's strangest property is that every post has two contradictory lifespans — hours of attention, decades of
archive — and the chart's empty cells plus the stigmergy lift both point at the same unbuilt thing: platforms where a post's longevity is
dynamic and earned (reinforced → canonical, ignored → gone) rather than frozen at feed-life by default.
