Y'get me y'get me… 😭🤝
Clocking the UX problems just makes me wish I had the UX answers… I think more forums and forum-style threads (even within Discord, now that it has had the option) in cases of large populations, and discussions and resources that shouldn't be lost to time, would help a lot.
The instant messaging thing is harder, because I have some friends who are like "no, yeah, be asynchronous with me, I'd love that" versus the, like, collective-social-consciousness understanding of how instant messages are supposed to feel and be used. 😭I KNEW YOU'D GET INTO IT. Capitalism… the chains that bind us forreal. This problem… ohhhh this problem…
I feel like burnout is what has kicked my accessibility in the knees, and though I'm not bombarded with requests for education and resources, I imagine this is what people "bigger" than me have dealt with. Burnout and lack of time/energy.
And, that resources nowadays are either paywalled (fair enough, it's labor and we live in capitalism and are forced to try and earn off of it), and the fact that we post in ephemeral and hard-to-search/hard-to-backlog spaces and formats now.Me too and I feel like this will be the strat for digital health going forward. Most folks just, won't, budge, from platforms—and I get it. But, I think as a society, we had a healthier relationship with the web when we caught up with people one-person-at-a-time, bookmark-style.
My solution in this culture? I start visiting the Platform-Onlys' profiles as if they were web pages. 😭🤝🤝🤝 I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling this way… I was starting to feel like I was crazy, lowkey. 😭NO BUT LIKE… IT TRULY WAS THE BEST ERA… It was "happenin'" enough to be fun, but not overwhelming!! 😭
