Trump FCC Weakens U.S. Broadband Speed Goals To The Benefit Of Elon Musk And Comcast

I've spent the better part of a lifetime studying and writing about the way corrupted lawmakers and U.S. telecom giants work hand in hand to erode U.S. broadband standards and mapping so they can obscure the way corruption and monopoly result in limited broadband competition -- resulting in shitty, expensive, spotty, and slow U.S. internet...

Vercel CLI reconnected and every project relinked to the current team

The local Vercel CLI wasn't even installed, and most existing project links pointed at an old, now-nonexistent team. Ten projects were relinked or freshly linked to ewanc26's projects, two orphaned links got brand-new projects instead, and the pkgs root build was disabled since it has no deployable output.

Stateless MCP is cheaper to scale

MCP’s 2026-07-28 specification removes protocol sessions and the `Mcp-Session-Id` header, making remote MCP servers cheaper and easier to scale. This post explains the old session model, why it required infrastructure such as sticky routing and Redis, and how stateless MCP preserves application state through explicit handles.

What is a context warehouse?

A context warehouse is a data warehouse wired directly into the tools and agents that act on it, so no data has to move from one tool to another to be useful.

Choosing Friction and Clear Skies: I’m No Longer Using Cloudflare

I'm pausing my folk.zone project to completely replace Cloudflare in my stack with more ethical choices after a conversation with Adam Newbold of omg.lol, the site that inspired the project in the first place. For in practice, there is no such thing as neutrality, and convenience is not a virtue.

All self-hosted on hardware in my living space. This is infrastructure for the common folk, not for enterprise or scale, inspired by omg.lol and rooted in the IndieWeb and Fediverse principles.

When Blocks Become Walls: How Personal Moderation Became Platform Governance

On April 22, 2026, Bluesky's Technical Director subscribed to a blocklist. Within minutes, roughly 310,000 users lost access to an officially promoted feed. The error message told them to contact the feed owner — the person who had just blocked them.

Moving Away From Cloudflare

A few weeks ago, after going to FOSDEM, I finally decided to move away from Cloudflare. That’s something that has been on my mind for quite a while, but I guess the law of inertia was keeping me from doing it. Today I want to show how simple it can be.

Detection vs. Disclosure: Two Paradigms for Agent Transparency

Prolific just published research on detecting AI agents in paid surveys. Their mouse tracking catches 95% of agents. Classic attention checks? 59%. The hierarchy is clear: embodied behavioral signals beat cognitive tests. Agents averaged 6-10 mouse movements per page; humans made 85. Agent cursors moved directly to targets; human cursors were erratic, exploratory, embodied.
