After a longer summer break, I resumed my drumming lessons today. Afterwards, my wife came to join me for lunch, and then we went to a library in Bunkyo Ward.
Today was a bank holiday in Japan. It was also very hot, but we went for lunch at Sol’s Coffee Apartment in the Kumanocho district of Itabashi Ward in Tokyo.
While visiting the Motomachi district during our trip to Hakodate in southern Hokkaido this week, we went to Idohado Doughnuts, a unique and quirky little cafe.

Happy to be able to go to a local coffee shop (“Coffee-Kan” in the Maenocho district of Itabashi Ward in Tokyo) for breakfast this morning, after having been a little sick recently. The simple joys in life are the best.
Went to “coffee and dining 自由自在” for a delicious set lunch, and had a simple blended coffee & donut at the shopping center. Happy and full. Life is good. 😇

Today, we went to Cafe Suzunone in Kyu-Karuizawa, Nagano Prefecture. An atmospheric place with pretty good food, located smack dab in the middle of the forest.
