The Community Voting Rights Art Installation will be exhibited at Fountain Street Church in Grand Rapids, with public voting opening September 18. VAAC will also take part in special programming at Fountain Street Church on Sunday, September 20.

Upcoming ID Clinics in Ferndale and Detroit

This Monday, August 10 is the first of two August ID clinics in Ferndale and Detroit, that will help residents access Michigan Secretary of State services, voter registration, and community resources. No appointment is necessary, and the full cost of a Michigan State ID will be covered for people who qualify. The second one takes place on Friday, August 14.

VAAC’s Statewide Jail Voting Workgroup continues coordinating efforts across Michigan to expand voting access for eligible voters detained in county jails. The work includes strengthening county relationships, improving communication systems, supporting vote-by-mail access, and preparing statewide coordination efforts ahead of the upcoming election cycle. The next workgroup meeting takes place this Thursday, July 16.
