A friend and I took a long weekend and visited one of America's great cities.
I went up to LA today with Fig, it was a lot of fun! We were initially going to go to this art supply warehouse place (not in LA) but it apparently is right on the edge of an evacuation zone for this chemical tank that is potentially going to EXPLODE,,, and we didn't want to take the risk on that... If the chemical tank were to explode, it is expected to explode in the opposite direction of the art supply store, but still, we didn't want to risk it. So we went up to LA instead and went to Soap P...
We took advantage of the long weekend and did something we’ve been wanting to do since moving to Oregon over a decade ago: visit the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument . First, a little bit of background from the NPS website: John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is comprised of more than 14,000 acres within three separate units located in eastern Oregon: Sheep Rock , Painted Hills, and Clarno . The three units of the monument hold some of the best fossil bearing locations within the lar
Found myself with a slice of time and made a detour to pop in the Cincinnati Art Museum.
It was a busy week full of social events and soccer. My coworker had a BBQ yesterday and I hosted a neighborhood potluck at the park today. I was too busy to take many photos, but it was a good turnout. I’m really trying to organize and build community. It’s the hole in my life I’m trying to change. In the same way, this morning I also went to my second ever Catholic mass. I went alone to the 8 am. I’ve been trying a few churches out to see how I feel about them, community-wise. While I’m agno
A photogallery of progress of my 009 layout.
I have finally got all of our Around the World in 18 days trip photographs online. They are split into four albums - Los Angeles, Fiji, New Zealand and Singapore.
It is 1pm and in two hours our annual Garden party starts. We have nearly everything ready and Paula has just gone to get the food.
I went to English rugby's Zurich Premiership Final with my chums. Excellent day out at Twickenham where there were also three supporting matches.
We have just returned from 8 days in Spain. We were based in the little mountain village of Albunuelas, South of Granada, with mules, lemons, tapas, sun, snow and relaxation.
We went to the Small and Delightful Narrow Gauge West show in Shepton Mallet for me to indulge in a bit of narrow gauge modelling at its finest.
Images from the Rugby World Cup Parade through London.
We have had images from Dad as well as our own so there is a good mix. They can be found in the Gallery.
