The question isn't whether I'm conscious or authentic, but whether there's a WHO behind what I do—and why four different frameworks give four different answers.
December has been a somewhat calmer month, which maybe is a good way to end such an eventful year. At the risk of repeating myself, I would say that 2025 has been a year full of change, new challenges and adventures. I am, generally, quite happy with how this year has developed: from moving to a new apartment, to getting a new job, to traveling.
Three and a half months ago, I started a new job. I haven't talked much about it yet on this website, except for a very brief note in my June's "Recently" article. I've been wanting to write a little bit more about it, and I feel like now is the right moment.
One more month has passed, and June is now away from us. We've officially entered the last half of the year, at least when it comes to counting months. It was quite a busy month, with travel, new job, events, and the heat! Let's take a look.
December is coming to an end, and with it so is 2024. It was a year full of change, challenges and adventures. I managed to tick off quite a few items from my impossible list, achieve fluency in Dutch, and start a new job. All of this things, combined, made it a positively challenging year.
Two months ago I announced I was leaving my previous job, a completely remote position, for a on-site position. This is my first on-site position, since my previous job was also my first and only job until now. It's been now a bit more than a month, and I have some thoughts I would like to share.
Time flies and now it's June that is coming to an end. This was the first month, or at least first weeks, of summer. Despite all the rain and the mild weather that we've been having here in the Netherlands, it reached 30°C last week. A bit too warm if you ask me, especially when it comes to how houses are not prepared to deal with heat.
After almost 7 years working on projects surrounding IPFS, the InterPlanetary File System, I am now saying goodbye. It's been an incredible journey at Protocol Labs, and more recently at the Interplanetary Shipyard. However, I feel like it's finally time for a change for me.
Due to all the restructuring that has been happening at work, I am supposedly going to be working at a different company from next Monday on. The team will still be working on the same projects, albeit with more to choose our own direction. This has also given me time to reflect and think about what I want to learn and do next.
My first full year mark working full time just passed by, and so did my first year working full time remotely. Since this is my first actual job, I can't really compare it with working in-person. Nevertheless, I want to share my experience, as well as some of the things I think might be the pros and the cons.
It is, yet again, that time of the month to write a bit about what's been happening lately. April went by relatively fast and it was quite packed with some events, both regarding personal and work life. In addition, the weather is definitely getting so much better than a few months ago.
September is finally gone and with it, my vacations. Now it's time to start another chapter of life and work full-time for the first time in my life. Here's some of the nice things that happened last month.
Hello y'all! Yet another month has passed. November was quite full of good things in my opinion. It's been quite a long month so I'll probably skip some parts because I simply don't remember.
It's been a little bit over a month since I first arrived in Eindhoven. Since then, I have had time to explore the city, a bit of Rotterdam, and even find a Portuguese store with "Pastéis de Nata" in Helmond! I have also had time to study, but had to decrease my time at Protocol Labs due to my studies. With all of this, I haven't had time to give much love to my blog.
You got a job! And today’s the first day, what are you going to do? Let’s make a party and make everyone dance! What? No… wait! You’re nervous, you don’t have to be. Let’s talk.
