Yes! This hits hard.

I like the potential for Option 1 to allow fully local first apps, if (when?) your PDS lives on your phone (sync’d with your cloud server whenever you’re online)

I feel like the inevitable consequences of the delay between Command & Query in the CQRS/ES (which… that’s what this is here, right?) is something that could be smoothed over with helpful client side libraries; making the eventual response from the App server a progressive enhancement, rather than a necessity.
