Yes yes yes! We have access to incredibly compelling affordances within the atmosphere but are still figuring out how to leverage them. As we do it will become the competitive advantage against incumbent platforms. @internet.bsky.social I have thoughts on how to make this more salient. There’s plenty of precedent in other accounts to have ‘backup codes’ one should keep in a safe place to recover their account. I would suggest marking in settings that account setup is “incomplete” if they have not set their rotation key (and probably don’t even call it that to the user. Call it an authorization code or a backup code) and then in app let them set the code and encourage them to save it somewhere else. I don’t remember what service it was but I recently went thru a flow like this where after the screen with the code has passed it asks you to paste the code in again to prove that you saved it somewhere you can copy it again. Smart!
All that to say, a nudge via red dot over settings that doesn’t go away til you do this is good. Just like the app bugs you to verify your email.
@cosmik.network this has your name written all over it!
Would be down to discuss mental models and how to frame these upcoming features. Is following someone else’s list the right verb? Am I saving their list so it shows up in my sidebar alongside the rest of my lists? Probably want configurable notification tiers (every new card, daily/weekly digest, mute). This also do the handle auto fill web component?this is so incredibly helpful thank you for making this! Adding this to my Semble list on creating a superduper AtT Proto personal websiteI love the native Bluesky post cards! Great first step in collecting different record types in sembleThis is great! iOS does support native notifications for PWAs. Discourse supports it. Can we start passing around OPML files like old mixtapes?Blacksky is addressing this head on. They are community funded. Everything is open source. You can see exactly who is contributing, and talk to them. They’re all nice people! Commons funding and relationships are def different from the customer-provider relationships we are more used to. The Bluesky team itself has been incredibly open and accessible for the kind of project they are building. It’s a valid concern for sure. Oops I was signed in on the other account. Me Tynan wants this.I love this idea! Patiently waiting for obsidian bases to support kanban views so I can replicate this view there. Great principle to follow. I would be down for tables. I wonder though, why not have a markdown block be the underlying layer for things like titles, breakers, and tables, since md supports all of those? This might be the right project to fork for my AT Passport idea. Basically achievements for participating in the atmosphere.Love it! Ariel and I both have long lists of atmosphere projects on our profiles. Let’s get some attention on the quieter ones!I believe the Skeets app supports this now. You find a good price on the m4 air? I’m looking at the exact same upgrade path. 10000000000%. I want to see public libraries offer a PDSname idea: atymo. AT + EtymologyIs there a label for bot accounts?
