Been thinking hard about this especially as I've been making it through my professional development. I got a new project and spoke to a teammate (who is talented and who I respect) asking everyone around the table that hard skills they had, one mentioned time management and prompt engineering.
They are actually a skilled photographer and editor, and I insisted on hard skills to see if they could list off the work they *actually* do. They got pissy with me and explained they didn't understand what hard skills were. They had, in the past bragged about being a 'LinkedIn demon' (positive) and I was confused that they *didn't* understand the difference. I keep seeing this. Yeah tbh and like the stock music app on most phones does actually exist, although there are way better options now. The solutions to the economic stress of the moment are not going to be some by making a better store. I am incredibly sympathetic to the plight of NSFW creators as a former survival SW myself however community spaces have to be multi-use and cannot be entirely dominated by commerce is the point that I'm making - those are legislative hurdles that need to be confronted on a real life community level and have not and will not be solved by people attempting to bootstrap themselves out of poverty by monetizing every single part of their existence and community spaces. Do whatever you need to but if the only people you're selling to is other creatives who are also looking for sales then the ecosystem has started to eat itself. woah we can leave comments :0
