I just remember for ages, Bluesky on X was "bluesky". Always found that pretty curious.I went the real lazy way of just buying the cheapest domain I could find (zio.boats, to mirror zio.blue), adding it to Cloudflare, and then giving a wildcard DNS for each Tailscale IP (try looking at the record for tanager.zio.boats — you'll recognize the IP range). From there, I could use the Cloudflare API to assign SSL certs from Caddy. Et voila, it just all magically works everywhere — no custom CAs needed!
This reminds me of Dieselgate somewhat. Every European manufacturer was cheating results — Peugeot and Renault, being French, were particularly bad for it, for example — it's just Volkswagen took the fall for it.
Every company has to take the fall for something initially, and as much as I don't like PlayStation, I do think Sony being upfront about inevitable industry changes is pretty good. This was bound to happen. It happened to PC years ago. It genuinely surprises me we made it to '26 with physical media on console still, and I'd wager most console gamers do just download things anyways now: I sure did on my Xbox One almost a decade ago.Heh, I had this a few weeks ago for zio.sh. Seems to have hit a few others too. Still can't quite fathom what the scam actually *is*.
