Bandaid Engineer. I post mostly about coding, ATProto, embedded devices and things like that. Sometimes serious, mostly just killing time. ๐Middle Tennessee
Nice! and I am the same way. I did not talk about it in this one, but you mentioning that reminded me. I am also going explore somethings for more so the "every day person". Like;
- See if there's prompts to save it in a password manager when the key is shown
- Possibly host a service that holds these encrypted for folks who trust me. Then it's a 3 way chance they don't lose their account. PDS, physical key file, and the service I run
But the big picture I found while talking to folks is I think some people will like this app, but most everyday people who are not in tech or adjacent may not or just don't care. It's mostly us in the ecosystem already that does.Hey, thank you! Mostly ends up being preference. Bluesky will treat other PDSs the same, it's even actually the same code running for Bluesky as it is for most independent PDSs. Usually users move to a different PDS for the ability to have more control over their data/account, or for a server that may have moderation rules more in align with what they want out of their online experience on the atmosphere.You're welcome! I'm glad it was able to help out!Glad to have you onboard and thank you! Iโm happy it was able to help out These are too good to pick just oneit helps a lot! Especially with backing away to attack again, also doesn't use any of the power which is niceThank you! It means a lot to hear that!
